Steve Koenig

Steve Koenig graduated with a BA Degree in History from California State University of Fresno in 1986. Simultaneously, he was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army as he completed the ROTC program at Fresno State. He was ranked 1st in his cadet class and received a regular army commission.

Steve served 4 years active duty and another 9 years in the California National Gaurd, leaving service as a captain. Leaving the army he returned to Merced where he began work as a Staff Accountant in 1991. He re-entered CSU Fresno and earned a BA in Accounting. He sat for and passed the Enrolled Agents Exam in 1998.

He purchased his father's tax and financial practice in 1998 and has been employed at or around the practice for 26 years.

He is married to wife Michelle of 30 years and they have 8 children.
